The market for our solutions is growing rapidly, our share of that market is increasing, and end users are more engaged than ever in applying technology to enhance entry control.

Smarter Security, provider of premium, innovative entrance control and outdoor security solutions, today announced the introduction of the upgraded Fastlane Glassgate® 300 optical turnstile. When launched two years ago, Glassgate 300 was distinctive for its unique, minimalist design, and the latest version of the turnstile adds high security features with safety elements. The market for entry control in building security is evolving and Glassgate 300’s distinctive styling is leading the way. See and demo the new turnstile at the ASIS exhibition next week in Anaheim, CA.

“The market acceptance of Glassgate 300 has been quite positive, so we’re pleased to offer this even stronger combination of high security with style,” said Jeff Brown, CEO of Smarter Security. “As we’ve rolled out the locking brake on other speedgate models, it was natural to add it to Glassgate 300 as well. This is a great time to be in the industry. The market for our solutions is growing rapidly, our share of that market is increasing, and end users are more engaged than ever in applying technology to enhance entry control.”

Fastlane® Glassgate 300 from Smarter Security now includes the choice of four glass barrier heights ranging up to six-feet high. The option of a locking brake will prevent intruders from pushing through the barriers to gain access to the building. Unlike many other full-height turnstiles, Glassgate 300 now has a tall shaft to support the glass panels. This safety feature mitigates any chance of glass breakage when people apply significant force to the top half of the barriers. In addition to the toughened glass used for all barrier heights, the six-foot barrier is 2 mm thicker and laminated for further safety. Added safety beams in the center post help ensure Fastlane’s swinging barriers avoid human contact, a feature most other brands do not offer.

Smarter Security’s Fastlane Glassgate 300 is an optical turnstile with swinging glass barriers and an edge-less design unique in the industry. The speedgate automates lobby security by ensuring each person accessing the secure side of the building lobby presents a valid credential, and visual and audible alarms signal an intrusion. Intelligent Fastlane optical technology observes tailgaters as close as ¼ inch and accurately distinguishes between people and objects to minimize nuisance alarms. Smarter Security will demonstrate Glassgate 300 in booth 3217 at the ASIS 2015 Seminar and Exhibits starting September 28th in Anaheim, California.
