Spafinder Wellness, Inc. Names Shawna Nichol Vice President, U.S. Gift Sales

In her new position, Ms. Nichol will be responsible for expanding the company’s consumer and corporate gift card programs in the U.S., with a focus on developing and managing major partnerships. Spafinder Wellness 365® Gift Cards are currently available in 70 countries and can be used at over 22,000 spa, fitness and wellness locations worldwide. The company’s Corporate Wellness 365™ division develops incentive products and partnerships that support workplace wellness programs.

Ms. Nichol began her career in gift cards in 2007 with Blackhawk Network, a leading prepaid gifting and payments network, which distributes physical and digital prepaid products worldwide. She launched Blackhawk’s Canadian gift card program and then worked with the company in the U.S., where she managed large national accounts such as Lowe’s and Toys “R” Us.
In 2011, she became director of marketing for Interactive Communications International (InComm) in Atlanta and was responsible for the company’s gift promotional marketing strategy. Her team worked with a wide range of prepaid gift card partners to execute promotional marketing programs in large retailers, including Target and Wal-Mart.
Prior to joining Spafinder Wellness, Ms. Nichol was the senior account executive for gift and loyalty programs and for Giftcertificates.ca at Moneris Solutions, a joint initiative of Canadian banking leaders RBC and Bank of Montreal and the largest merchant processor in Canada.
