Shamanism went mainstream when Matthew J. Pallamary and Inner Journey host Greg Friedman kicked off the release of “Spirit Matters”, the audio version of Pallamary's award winning memoir. In the first 24 hours, the show tallied over 10,500 downloads, of what listener Danny Donayre called, “One of the best interviews ever done about shamanism and plant medicines.”
The downloads continue to rise.
Shamanism is the world’s oldest system of spiritual belief that focuses on inner and outer paths to personal growth and personal power. Pallamary says, “In Shamanism, everything is connected, which is what we did with this show.”
The special two hour Inner Journey show aired at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday night at the KX 93.5 studio where Pallamary answered listener questions on themes from his book, which include transformation, individuation, and integrating personal shadows using the healing properties of the Amazonian medicinal plant known as Ayahuasca.

"Spirit Matters" chronicles Pallamary’s journey from the mean streets of Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood to the Amazonian jungles where he discovered that spirit does matter.
Recorded over the summer at the KX 93.5 FM studios in Laguna Beach, with additional mastering by Tony Friedman at The Outpost Sound Mixing Company, North Hollywood, California, who among other things enhanced the book with jungle sounds in the first and last chapters. "Spirit Matters" is available for digital download as an audio book on Audible.com, Amazon.com, and at iTunes.com. A portion of every audio book sale goes to listener supported KX 93.5 FM.
Greg Friedman is a modern day spiritual guide and mentor who builds bridges and helps clear paths by taking the ancient wisdom of indigenous cultures and making it applicable to people in their everyday lives.
