Saratoga Springs, NY (PRWEB) May 20, 2014
SportsSignup, a national leader in online registration management solutions for sports organizations, today announced the acquisition of LeagueToolbox LLC, combining two innovative industry leaders into one dynamic, full-service company for sports leagues across North America.
Chad Theriault, president of LeagueToolbox, will become chief marketing officer of SportsSignup, and will be responsible for the company’s product strategy and overall marketing efforts.
“Chad and the LeagueToolbox team have created an amazing suite of products, which is evidenced by their rapid growth over the past three years,” said Anthony Bruno, CEO of SportsSignup. “Our ultimate vision has been to become the most trusted ‘all-in-one’ sports management solution available, where each component, whether it be online registration, web content management, tournament management, scheduling, coach/volunteer background screening, or integrated e-commerce, represents the absolute best product in its class. This deal is a giant step toward fulfilling that vision.”
“We are very excited to join forces with SportsSignup, and we can’t wait to deliver a new suite of products that takes full advantage of our combined 14 years of experience in this industry,” Mr. Theriault said.
SportsSignup will retain all LeagueToolbox employees, creating an even stronger team.
The acquisition will give SportsSignup its first international office, just outside Toronto. SportsSignup, headquartered in Saratoga Springs, NY, also has an office in Mesa, AZ, to best service its expanding customer base.
SportsSignup’s expanded scope of services will now include website content management with integrated team websites, automated scheduling, standings, player statistics, tournament management including playoff bracketing, and iPhone and Android mobile apps. This is all in addition to SportsSignup’s existing online registration, coach/volunteer background checks, tournament registration and e-commerce services.
SportsSignup’s software engineers and support staff, including those who worked for LeagueToolbox, are collaborating to offer a single, fully-integrated online sports management solution to all customers later this year.
“Offering integrated website content management and related features is a natural extension to our trusted solutions, especially as sports organizations further adopt technology to make it easier for administrators, volunteers and participants,” concluded Mr. Bruno.
SportsSignup has earned a place in the Inc. Magazine 500|5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. for two consecutive years. SportsSignup ranked No. 2,784 overall on the 500|5000 list for 2013 and No. 213 among software companies. In 2012, SportsSignup was ranked No. 1,687 overall and No. 134 among software companies on the 500|5000 list.
