Little Rock Car Dealership Raises Thousands For Breast Cancer Research
Little Rock, AR (PRWEB) November 12, 2013 -- During October, Steve Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep held the Crush for a Cure event at the Arkansas State Fair and had a social media donations campaign to support breast cancer research. This was the first year for Steve Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep to have the Crush for a Cure car at the fair, which in turn was a great success. The dealership raised $5,227 in total for Susan G. Komen.
From Oct. 11th through Oct. 18th, Steve Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep stationed a donated car, spray-painted pink, at the Arkansas State Fair. Participants paid one dollar to take a swing at the Crush for a Cure car using a pink sledgehammer. All donations were donated to help with breast cancer awareness and research.
To create more attention and awareness for breast cancer research, the dealership donated one dollar for every Facebook page “like” and check-in. Through Facebook users sharing content, and spreading the word the dealership achieved great success with this promotion. When Facebook fans checked-in on Facebook at the dealership and took a test drive, they received a free Arkansas State Fair ticket.
