Ramalingam Suntharalingam is a banker in retirement. He earned his basic degree in economics at the University of Ceylon at Peradenya and his master’s degree in economics from the University of Jaffna. He has undergone numerous trainings pertaining to his professional honing both at home and abroad by the State Bank of India, World Bank, Central Bank of Sri Lanka and State Training Institutes in Sri Lanka. His interest in bilingual reading, translations and adaptations dates back to his school days at Jaffna College, the University of Ceylon, Peradenya and his professional home ground, the People’s Bank.
