VISIT FLORIDA Awards Tourism Grant to the Superior Small Lodging Association to Promote Authentic-Florida Vacations
Dania Beach, FL (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 -- The Superior Small Lodging Association (SSL), a non-profit association of independent small hotels, resorts, inns and B&B’s throughout Florida, announced today that it received a tourism grant from VISIT FLORIDA, the state’s official source for travel planning. The grant will be used to help promote the SSL “authentic Florida” style property to travelers around the globe.
The Superior Small Lodging Association gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy a true Florida experience of staying in an “authentic” or “classic” style Florida property instead of the traditional high-rise flag hotels, while ensuring the cleanliness and standards that most people want when traveling.
“Many travelers fear booking a small independent property for fear of sub-standard cleanliness or services,” says Scott Rivelli, the Executive Director of SSL, “The Superior Small Lodging Association removes that fear factor. Visitors can be assured that when booking a stay at one of the 170 SLL member properties around the state, they will enjoy standards and services equal to, if not better than, those offered by the chains.”
To ensure that superior standards of cleanliness and service are met, all SSL member properties are inspected annually by an independent inspection company. Those properties that exceed the SSL specific standards for cleanliness are awarded the White Glove Award for cleanliness. Excellence in quality and service are also recognized. Properties that fall below the SSL standards are suspended from participating in the program and are invited to reapply once they are again able to meet the standards.
Travelers can be assured that when they book a stay at a Superior Small Lodging member property, they are guaranteed a high standard of excellence while enjoying more of the old Florida ambiance and charm.
