Evansville, IN (PRWEB) July 17, 2013
The “My Finish Line” Movie and Music Tour celebrates the inspiring story of former INDYCAR racer, Sam Schmidt, who was left quadriplegic after a racing accident in 2000. Following his accident, country-music artist, Michelle Murray met Schmidt when she was performing at a racing event in 2009. Murray was so struck by Schmidt’s story that she composed the song "It Won’t Be If But When (Sam’s Song)." The song later became the soundtrack to "My Finish Line," a film about Schmidt’s journey in overcoming adversity. The tour celebrates Schmidt’s story, as well as provides hope and awareness for the struggles of handicapped individuals across the United States.
The tour includes 120 stops in all 50 states and will be making its stop in Evansville, Indiana on July 30th from 2 to 5 p.m. The free of charge event will take place at Superior Van & Mobility, which is located at 3414 Interstate Drive. During this time, Michelle Murray will be doing an acoustic performance of her music, followed by a meet and greet for everyone in attendance. More information on the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation will be available, as well as copies of the "My Finish Line" DVD.
