adidas, LIDS, SoDo Sports and the Seattle Team Shop teamed up with Tagga to create a cross-channel sweepstakes campaign. Tagga’s platform technology makes it easy to deliver cross-channel marketing that combines web, social and mobile to gain the highest ROI and customer engagement. The campaign drives foot traffic to two LIDS retail locations, Seattle Team Shop and SoDo Sports, by using an incentivized sweepstakes that is activated in store, online, and through the Seattle Teams (JAS Sports) Facebook app page. Fans can enter via desktop or mobile device and enter to win tickets to the next Sounders FC game. Additionally, after completing the entry, fans can easily buy Sounders merchandise direct from their mobile device or desktop.

The Seattle Sounders Football Club is Major League Soccer’s 15th team and has sold more season tickets than any other MLS club in the league’s 18-year existence. Their mission is driven by four key words: passion, community, courage and excellence. adidas, LIDS, SoDo Sports and the Seattle Team Shop launched cross-channel activated sweepstakes with Tagga to reach their target fan base and increase awareness.
Beginning on April 4th 2013 and ending October 27th, 2013, audiences can enter the sweepstakes in the following ways; 1) by scanning the QR code or texting the keyword SOUNDERS to 47170 (std messaging rates will apply), or 2) entering on the Seattle Teams (JAS Sports) Facebook app page. Here, they are prompted to enter a code, updated for every new sweepstakes, offering a new pair of tickets to be won. The entry code can be found in either of the two retail stores near CenturyLink Field, at the Seattle Teams page (http://www.seattleteams.com/SoundersTextOffer), or at the Seattle Teams Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/seattleteamshop). The campaign hands out 15 pairs of Sounders FC tickets throughout the MLS season for each of the 15 home games. A winner is chosen at random through the Tagga platform’s lottery feature.
This co-branded effort is promoted through in-store point-of-sale signage, including a full-size window display as well as hyper-targeted local market media support fueled by adidas. These include radio spots, mobile ad buys and social posts through Facebook and Twitter. The cross-channel campaign effectively integrates web, social and mobile marketing efforts to best reach and engage the consumer - effectively increasing sales, connecting with target customers, and gaining valuable customer information for both adidas, LIDS SoDo Sports and the Seattle Team Shop.
