Christenbury Eye Center Restores Lavanna McDonald’s Reading Vision with a TECNIS Multifocal Lens Implant Procedure
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) November 05, 2015 -- Lavanna McDonald of Charlotte, N.C. recently eliminated three pairs of prescription glasses after receiving a TECNIS Multifocal Lens Implant in each eye. Dr. Jonathan Christenbury at Christenbury Eye Center performed the procedure. The TECNIS Multifocal Lens by A.M.O. is designed for patients with cataracts or presbyopia. Presbyopia is the over 40 vision that requires reading glasses or bifocals. TECNIS is an office-based procedure performed with mild sedation, and after a weekend of recovery, patients can return to work on Monday. McDonald’s vision is restored to 20/20 and she couldn’t be happier.
As a small business owner, McDonald’s ability to work long hours on the computer made running her business increasingly difficult. She was frustrated from searching for multiple pairs of glasses. She was finally ready to do something about her situation. Upon consultation with Dr. Christenbury, she learned she was a candidate for a Multifocal lens replacement.
“I didn’t realize how my quality of life had declined and how limited I had become. I had 3 different prescriptions for reading, glasses and sunglasses,” says Lavanna McDonald, TECNIS Multifocal patient at Christenbury Eye Center. She goes on to say, “I’m 49 and now I’m back to seeing like I was at 30 years old. I can’t even tell you how happy I am. I’m over the moon!”
The doctors at Christenbury Eye Center are very impressed with the TECNIS Multifocal Lens. “TECNIS provides the best intermediate vision, night vision and reading in dim illumination. Even patients who have had LASIK and end up with reading glasses as they age can have TECNIS Multifocal,” said Dr. Christenbury, the Medical Director of Christenbury Eye Center.
