T.H. Easter Consulting Launches Employee Engagement Practice to Deliver All-in-One Service Featuring Gallup’s Q12 Survey and Analysis
Bethesda, Maryland (PRWEB) March 26, 2015 -- According to Gallup’s State of the American Workplace Report, 70 percent of employees feel disconnected from the work they’re doing, making employee engagement a strategic business priority. T.H. Easter Consulting, the human resources management consultancy where it’s all about people, today announced the launch of its employee engagement practice, to be led by Jean C. Wood, Ph.D., a former C-suite executive at Abt Associates, a global top 10 research firm. The practice will feature Gallup Q12 as the flagship questionnaire, and will deliver finely honed survey methodology, analysis, data interpretation and implementation.
“We are delighted to bring a higher level of expertise in employee engagement to our services, especially when it’s so critical that organizations understand their workforce, measure levels of engagement and identify underlying causes for disengagement,” commented Terri Hartwell Easter, principal T.H. Easter Consulting. “We uncovered a gap in the industry – organizations are using off-the-shelf employee engagement surveys, but need guidance in interpreting the data and turning the results into an actionable plan to achieve real business outcomes. Jean Wood possesses the ability to motivate and mobilize a diverse workforce; she has been immersed in developing original research and interpreting results, and brings that experience to bear on behalf of clients of T.H. Easter Consulting.”
Jean C. Wood, Ph.D.
With more than 20 years of experience in research and operations leadership, Wood is widely recognized for activating successful employee engagement programming that cultivates ascendant leadership. Wood started her career as a research associate at a top 10 global social science research firm, Abt Associates. While at Abt Associates, she managed the development of an in-house research department that featured original survey design, data collection and analysis. Similar to Gallup Q12 and Best Places to Work survey methodology, Wood’s research process was developed to provide insight into employee preferences, perceptions and behaviors on an ongoing basis. Wood holds a Ph.D. in economics from Boston College and a B.A. in math and economics from Simmons College.
“T.H. Easter Consulting is one of the rare organizations that not only understands the vital connection between employee engagement and corporate success, but creates a strategy to achieve that success,” commented Jean Wood, employee engagement practice area lead for T.H. Easter Consulting. “Several research tools, like Gallup Q12, point an organization in the right direction with proven methodology and a turnkey survey. The T.H. Easter Consulting team is the missing piece of the puzzle for many executives who get stuck and overwhelmed when the survey results come in. We provide clarity and an action plan to guide true business results.”
Gallup Q12
A leader in behavioral science, Gallup has more than 75 years’ experience studying human behavior. Its Gallup Q12 survey measures elements of employee engagement through 12 simple questions. Employees answer the questions – available in multiple languages – that tie directly to performance outcomes. Scores are on a 1 to 5 scale, which highlights strengths and opportunities for the organization. T.H. Easter Consulting’s employee engagement practice team interprets the data and turns the results into an actionable plan that maps to business outcomes.
