Slam Dunk Sensations Team Flight Brothers Join The Whistle Network; NBA Players and 100,000 Subscribers Turn to TFB for New Dunks, Coaching
New York, New York (PRWEB) February 20, 2014 -- Washington Wizards Guard John Wall won the NBA Dunk Contest with coaching help from Team Flight Brothers, the newest members of The Whistle Network, which is the first multi-channel network focused on sports entertainment.
“We’re proud to help the best dunkers all over the country – no matter where they play or who they are - push basketball forward. We’re proud to be part of The Whistle as they build out an All-Star team of channel partners and pull in millions of new fans to push sports media forward,” said Charles Millian of Team Flight Brothers, who also coached Toronto Raptor Terrence Ross and the Indiana Pacers’ Paul George in this year’s contest.
Team Flight Brothers has over 100,000 subscribers and their videos have been seen over 76 million times. While young fans once turned to their televisions to pick up new dunks from their pro athlete heroes, those athletes are increasingly turning to fan made videos like Team Flight Brothers video “19 Dunks the NBA Has Never Seen,” which launched several new dunks in the league.
“They are great coaches, great innovators and, just as importantly, great guys, which makes them a great addition to the team,” said the Whistle Network’s Head of Partner Operations Dev Sethi.
The Whistle Network launched on January 1st as the first sports focused multi-channel network and has already grown to over three million subscribers and 25 channels, including Shot Science Basketball, DudePerfect and Brodie Smith. TWN is the YouTube-focused platform of The Whistle - the first sports media company focused on the new generation of sports fans. The Whistle’s professional league content and equity partners include Major League Baseball’s Advanced Media, the PGA Tour, NASCAR, Major League Lacrosse, and the US Ski and Snowboard Association.
