Texas Renaissance Festival Commemorates 40th Anniversary with King Midas' Masquerade Ball
Todd Mission, Texas (PRWEB) February 12, 2014 -- In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Texas Renaissance Festival, event organizers will launch the first ever King Midas Masquerade Ball. Hosted in a new venue located at the Festival’s campgrounds (21778 FM 1774 Todd Mission, TX 77363), the elaborate ball will take place during the eight festival weekends every Saturday Oct. 11 through Nov. 29.
“We’re excited to announce the addition of the Masquerade Ball to our entertainment line-up this year,” said Terre Albert, general manager of the Texas Renaissance Festival. “These will be eight unforgettable nights of astonishing sights, dazzling entertainment and savory bites.”
The creation of the Masquerade Ball marks the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Texas Renaissance Festival and will continue every year here after. The Masquerade Ball will be held in a new permanent structure in which ground breaking took place in September 2013.
Dynamic pricing for a limited number of tickets to the Masquerade Ball go on sale Feb. 17. Two hundred tickets can be purchased for each of the eight Saturdays at the following pricing scale and dates:
• Feb. 17, 2014 for $55
• April 4, 2014 for $65
• June 6, 2014 for $75
Face paint or a mask is required for entrance and costumes or black tie attire is strongly encouraged. Tickets include hors d’oeuvres, domestic beer and house wine and live entertainment. Top shelf drinks are available for purchase.
A golden ticket, available for an additional $95 to the regular ticket price, includes the royal treatment with early entry into the Masquerade Ball, a celebratory toast with King Midas, VIP and lounge area seating, top shelf drinks and hors d’oeuvres, private entertainment and a gift of King Midas’ special reserve wine.
All tickets are date specific, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. Guests must be 21-years-old or older to attend the Ball and can purchase tickets by phone or online.
