The Apex Center in Arvada, CO, Celebrates Their 14th Anniversary with a Family Friendly Customer Appreciation Week September 22-26
Arvada, CO (PRWEB) September 16, 2014 -- The Apex Center in Arvada, CO, is pleased to announce for its 14th Anniversary they are celebrating with a Customer Appreciation Week during September 22-26 with special activities each day. Plus, to show appreciation for all Apex Center annual pass holders, and to introduce Apex Center to more members of the community, all pass holders are invited to bring a guest with them each day for free during the Customer Appreciation Week.
The Apex Center is part of the Apex Park and Recreation District in Arvada, CO. While the full history of their facilities’ service to the Jefferson County community stretches back to 1956, the Apex Park and Recreation District’s board of directors are proud to have the Apex Center in operation for 14 years.
Apex Center’s facility manager Terry Goldwater said what makes the Apex Center so special is that “it was set in motion by the support of the community. Community members accompanied the district through the years of planning, provided valuable input and impetus to make the center happen according to their own vision. When it was built, it was unique in the country as an all-in-one recreation center and was the largest such facility in the country. It was such a grand adventure to build and launch it, doing so many things for the first time and now, 14 years later, more than a million people a year still walk through our doors. The Apex Center is a regional recreation destination that offers something for everyone every day.”
The Apex Center wants to share the celebration with their valued members and the public at large and will be hosting a number of daily giveaways and fun special events during the Customer Appreciation Week.
On Wednesday, September 24, from 6:30 - 8 pm, Apex Center will be hosting a superhero themed public skate. Families and kids are all welcome to come zip around the skating track dressed as Batman, the Avengers, and much more. Anyone who comes dressed up as a superhero will receive free admission and a complimentary skate rental. On Thursday, September 25, the official day of the 14th anniversary, Apex Center is celebrating the old fashion way with free birthday cake starting at 10 AM. (Don’t worry about the calories as Apex Center has ample workout areas near at hand to work them off.)
A particularly fun exercise to try out is Zumba: The Apex Center will be hosting a Zumba Master Class on Friday evening 6:00 - 8:30 PM. Zumba is an aerobic workout focused around dance and movement and is great for improving overall balance and strength. Apex Center offers a number of other great fitness classes and group workouts in addition to Zumba, such as Pilates, yoga, indoor cycling and Aquacise (water aerobics).
Looking forward to the next 14 years, Apex Center’s facility manager Terry Goldwater said, “We’re looking forward to new and familiar faces every day, plus responding to new community recreation needs and trends. In the past five years, programs such as Pilates and Pickleball have exploded in popularity, while features such as the aquatics area and the two ice rinks continue to draw crowds. We look forward to delivering quality recreation and anticipating new directions from the community that continues to support us.”
