DYER, Tenn. (PRWEB) May 18, 2015 -- Author Bill Atherton has always believed that people are drawn to the unknown, and that stories are always better with an element of suspense and mystery. Which is why he has endeavored to write “The House on 4th Street” (published by Xlibris) based on his own childhood experiences.
In “The House on 4th Street”, readers join Lee and Bill as they venture into realms of existence that run parallel to that of the readers. They learn that spirits from the past do exist and the realms they live in can drive a person to the brink of insanity. Readers may join them as they go even deeper into this realm than before and discover the surreal and unimaginable.
The author uses his fascination with the unknown and the macabre to create a spine–tingling adventure.

About the Author
Bill Atherton lives with his family in Texas. He has lived there now for almost a year. He is from a small town in West Tennessee, about 80 miles north of Memphis. He is a 31-year retired veteran police of Tennessee. He grew up for the most part living with his grandparents in Northeastern Kansas. With his last few high school years, he spent it in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his parents. After having spent time in the USMC, he went to work for the Merchant Marines on the western rivers. Much of his time on the boat was spent in the Louisiana Bayou Country. That was where he started writing short stories for his own pleasure—and so that he had something to do in his spare time—and the area and the culture was ideal for stories of the supernatural, voodoo, and quite possibly the things that go bump in the night. He was always drawn to the macabre and the supernatural.
