The Meadows Alumni Association to Host Alumni Workshop in Houston on August 27
Wickenburg, AZ (PRWEB) August 22, 2013 -- The Meadows Alumni Association is pleased to host an alumni workshop in Houston, Texas, for alumni on Aug. 27, 2013, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Council on Alcohol and Drugs. Samantha Laffoon, M.Ed., LPC, WC, will lead the discussion on the topic of “Self-Esteem.”
Lafoon is currently in private practice in Houston, Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor and therapist. She provided counseling services for adolescents, adults, couples and families needing help with issues such as trauma, loss, grief, substance abuse, anxiety, and depression.
In 2006 Lafoon graduated from the University of Houston with a Master of Education in Counseling. Her work experience in both the university and secondary school settings, Memorial Hermann's Prevention and Recovery Center for Drug and Alcohol Addiction, and The Davis Clinic for Surgical and Non-Surgical Weight Loss, lends itself to helping clients with behavioral, relational, and health issues, as well as those in need of academic, college, and career guidance.
The Meadows Alumni Association is pleased to host monthly alumni meetings in Texas and Arizona. Meadows’ trained professionals lead these inspirational meetings and focus on topics including renewing the language of The Meadows Model and reclaiming commitment to its principles. The Meadows Model is a therapeutic model that comprehensively addresses trauma resolution.
