The Meadows Wickenburg to Sponsor Lecture in Dallas on September 17
Wickenburg, AZ (PRWEB) September 06, 2013 -- The Meadows trauma and addiction treatment center is sponsoring a complimentary lecture in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, presented by Shawn Jeffries, PhD, CSAT, on the topic of “Optimizing Motivation for Lasting Change in Your Recovery.” It will be held at the Unity Church of Dallas Sanctuary from 7:00 p.m.to 8:30 p.m.
Dr. Jeffries is a psychologist with specialty training in behavioral medicine and the cognitive-behavioral treatment of anxiety, depression, addiction treatment, stress management, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, eating disorders, PTSD, children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional disorders. He received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Louisiana State University in 2000. In addition, Dr. Jeffries received advanced clinical training from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss. in the assessment and treatment of mixed anxiety/depression, PTSD (resulting from both civilian and combat-related trauma), eating disorders, and behavioral pediatrics.
The Meadows sponsors free lectures in various cities throughout the country. Speakers include local therapists familiar with The Meadows’ model. Lectures are free and open to the public.
