Birmingham, Alabama (PRWEB) February 19, 2014
Christian & Small LLP announced today that Muhammad Abdullah has been selected for the 2014 Fellows Program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), a national organization comprised of more than 200 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners.
The LCLD Fellows Program targets high-potential attorneys from diverse backgrounds. The yearlong program helps guide these individuals down a path to leadership through conferences, peer group projects and virtual training exercises. Fellows gain access to the LCLD’s network of leaders and managing partners to discuss professional experiences and career development.
In 2009, the LCLD began with a goal to develop strategies to increase diversity in the legal profession. Members are chosen from 200 candidates who have demonstrated leadership in the legal field and a commitment to promoting legal diversity.
Abdullah has been with Christian & Small since 2010. Before joining the firm, he worked as an auditor for Ernst and Young in Atlanta, Ga. Abdullah utilizes his accounting background to analyze the monetary ramifications of legal action and inform clients of the potential risks and benefits.
Christian & Small is the first Alabama member of the LCLD. With diversity as a core value, the firm retains and nurtures attorneys and staff from different backgrounds and experiences. These unique backgrounds allow Christian & Small to provide superior legal service to clients.
