During this time, the state’s largest lawyers group will gather to help the legal profession find pathways to move forward on the pressing issues surrounding diversity in the legal profession.
About the 2014 Diversity Summit Panel Discussion
The discussion will include representatives from the American Bar Association and New Jersey State Bar Association’s many sections and committee members of the specialty bar associations for an afternoon discussion and networking reception.
This year’s Summit will focus on the development and implementation of a long-range diversity plan for the association. It will offer an opportunity for attendees to hear from leaders in the legal community and learn about valuable resources and opportunities. Discussion topics will include:
• Defining the common challenges for bar associations and law-related organizations regarding diversity and inclusion
• How to effectively use leadership academies to implement bar association diversity goals
• Professional development, legal matters and government affairs
The summit will be held at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick.
About Peter Bennett
Peter Bennett is nationally recognized as a leader representing management in the field of labor and employment law. He is very active in the American Bar Association, where he currently serves as Chair of their Standing Committee on Judicial Independence, and is a past Chair of the Association’s 24,500 member Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section.
