Poughkeepsie Attorney Recognized by Boy Scouts

Mitchell, a partner with the law firm, Iseman, Cunningham, Riester & Hyde, LLP, was recognized by the Hudson Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America with the 2014 Distinguished Citizen Award on May 28, 2014, at the Dutchess Golf Club in Poughkeepsie.
A lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, Rick has been an active community volunteer. He is past director of the Dutchess County Boy Scout Council and has held leadership positions with the United Way of Dutchess County; Community Foundation of Dutchess County; Vassar Brothers Hospital Foundation; American Heart Association; Bardavon 1869 Opera House, and Family Services, Inc.
He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute; American Health Lawyers Association; Federal Bar Council; American Bar Association; New York State Bar Association where he served on the Business Law Committee; past president, Mid-Hudson Bankruptcy Bar Association, and Dutchess County Bar Association. He previously served on the New York State Judicial Screening Committee as the Dutchess County representative.
Mitchell’s legal practice is concentrated in corporate and transactional law, much of it within the healthcare industry, representing physicians and hospitals in corporate, as well as technical healthcare regulatory matters. He also has extensive experience in the areas of banking, bankruptcy, workouts and commercial litigation.
