Three Grogan Graffam Shareholders Honored in Best Lawyers® 2015

Lloyd were selected nationally by their peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2015. Ms. Lloyd was also named the Best Lawyers® 2015 Legal Malpractice Law - Defendants “Lawyer of the Year” in Pittsburgh.
Mr. Grogan has been recognized in Best Lawyers for over 30 years in the areas of Legal Malpractice Law – Defendants, and Real Estate Law and Litigation. A founding shareholder of the firm and trial attorney for over 50 years, Mr. Grogan is widely known and respected in commercial litigation matters, real estate law and professional liability defense. He served as President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association in 1997 and President of the Allegheny County Bar Association in 1989. Mr. Grogan is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and a Past Chair and member of the PBA’s Professional Liability Committee. He also serves on the Pennsylvania Joint State Government Commission’s Advisory Committee on Real Property Law. Mr. Grogan received his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1960.
Mr. Watson, recognized in Best Lawyers for Insurance Law, has been President of Grogan Graffam since 1998. With more than 35 years of trial experience, he concentrates his practice in complex commercial, construction, maritime, insurance and personal injury litigation. Mr. Watson is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County. He is also a Commissioner of the Independent Regulatory Review Commission and Chairman of the Municipal Authority of the Borough of West View. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1977.
Ms. Lloyd is a shareholder in the Litigation Practice Group and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. She was named the Best Lawyers 2015 Legal Malpractice Law - Defendants “Lawyer of the Year” in Pittsburgh, as well as being recognized in the area of Insurance Law. Ms. Lloyd concentrates her practice in the areas of insurance defense, professional liability defense including defense of legal malpractice cases, commercial litigation, and employment litigation matters. She is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and previously served on its Board of Governors. She is also an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Professional Liability Committee, and in that capacity, she lectures frequently on risk avoidance and ethics for lawyers. Ms. Lloyd received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1994.
