Rothman Gordon Attorney Appointed to PBA Shale Energy Law Committee
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- Rothman Gordon attorney Steven A. Walton has been appointed to the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Shale Energy Law Committee. His appointment will run through the Annual Meeting in May of 2014. PBA President Forest N. Myers has created a PBA Shale Energy Law Committee to deal with the complex legal and legislative issues associated with this developing energy source in Pennsylvania.
Steve has taken an active interest in representing landowners in regard to the Marcellus and Utica Shales. He has assisted clients with gas leases and has negotiated and drafted mineral rights leases for individuals in numerous Pennsylvania counties. Steve is a member of the Fayette County Marcellus Shale Taskforce, where he is Chair of the Legislative Subcommittee. He is a frequent contributor to the dialogue on GoMarcellusshale.com and has authored numerous articles on local ordinances, state regulations and drilling. Steve can frequently be heard as a guest host on the Natural Gas Matters radio show on WMBS, 590 AM.
