Five Main Questions to Ask Your Wedding Venue
High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (PRWEB UK) 20 February 2014 -- Finding the perfect wedding location is a huge part of the planning process.
To help, The Pavilion at Lane End - which has hosted elegant indoor and outdoor weddings for the past ten years – has put together five essential questions to ask your wedding venue.
Heni Fourie, Sales and Marketing Manager at the wedding venue in Bucks, said:
“While it’s easy to fall in love with the look of a location, it’s important to be armed with practical questions to make sure it’s the perfect fit for your dream day.
“Also, when checking out wedding venues, bear in mind, that a good venue will be able to help with lots of other items on your to-do list - from putting you in touch with the best regional suppliers, to helping you plan for unpredictable events, such as bad weather, so prepare a list of these questions too.”
Here are The Pavilion’s key questions to put to your wedding venue:
1. Can your wedding venue accommodate your number of guests?
It may sound obvious but large wedding venues often have multiple rooms, with varying capacities. Check that your chosen location, or locations, will accommodate all your guests – seated and standing.
Also remember to include everyone attending in your final number - the wedding photographer, filmmaker and musicians take up space too.
2. Will you have the venue to yourself?
If you don’t fancy crossing paths with another wedding party - or worse, another bride! - check whether you will have exclusive use of the venue and grounds.
3. Does the venue supply wedding catering?
If like, The Pavilion, the venue offers specialist wedding catering, ask about your preferred option, whether that’s finger food, a buffet or a formal sit-down meal.
Ask to view menus and arrange a tasting session. Also, don’t forget about wedding tablewear.
If you don’t want to settle for plain white, venues sometimes offer a choice of wedding tablewear, from sophisticated Vera Wang, to ‘mix and match’ Vintage crockery.
4. Does the venue supply its own in-house entertainment/photographer/ florist?
Experienced wedding venues usually have a contact book choc-full of recommended local suppliers, from hairdressers to harpists.
However, always make sure you personally sample their work beforehand.
5. Does the venue offer wedding packages?
Most venues offer inclusive wedding packages, designed to take care of, as much, or as little, of the day as you want.
For example, The Pavilion at Lane End offers a choice of four tailor-made wedding packages. These start with a Silver wedding package, which includes aspects such as venue hire and catering, to a top-tier, all-inclusive Diamond package.
The Diamond offering incorporates all elements of the day, from venue hire and wedding catering, through to professional wedding photography by Heni Fourie photography and mobile disco hire.
As well as taking the stress out of sourcing individual suppliers, wedding packages can help you stay within budget as they are priced per person.
