Uptown Alley Tees off for Breast Cancer Awareness
Richmond, VA (PRWEB) October 15, 2013 -- Uptown Alley, Virginia’s largest indoor entertainment complex located in Chesterfield, will host a charity golf tournament on Monday, November 4th at Birkdale Golf Club, with proceeds benefiting the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation. Tournament teams are formed in groups of four and priced at $300 a team, or $75 a person. The driving range will open for participants at 8am, with tee time set for 9am. Food and drink throughout the day are included in the ticket price. The fun will continue at Uptown Alley afterwards at a private party for participants with food, prizes and drinks.
“Uptown Alley and Birkdale Country Club are local businesses committed to helping their community, and we are pleased to be the charity of choice for this event,” says Katy Sawyer, Executive Director of the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation. “This support helps VBCF provide Virginians with breast health education materials free of charge to raise awareness year round about the benefits of early detection.”
Uptown Alley’s participation in Breast Cancer Awareness Month will include the $5 cover charge collected at the door on November 2nd. Pink ribbon bracelets and free breast cancer awareness materials will be handed out to all guests, and donation buckets will be available throughout the day.
