Spondo Premieres E-Motion Documentary for VOD, Sale and Syndication Through Facebook
Melbourne, Australia (PRWEB) March 20, 2014 -- Innovative video streaming company Spondo.com announces the Facebook premiere and VOD streaming and syndication of “E-Motion,” a powerful and personally driven documentary directed by Frazer Bailey and produced by Justin Lyons.
Lyons has produced award-winning television series and documentaries for NBC, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and the Travel Channel including “E-Motion” and The Crocodile Hunter” series featuring Steve Irwin.
The genesis for “E-Motion” began more than 7 years ago when Lyons witnessed the traumatic death of his long-time friend and colleague, Irwin, that ended one of the most successful eras in non-scripted television history, but set Lyons on a journey of self-discovery.
The documentary explores the power of combatting all forms of disease, depression and distress through emotional wellness and memory work. “E-Motion” features international alternate health and well-being experts including Dr Joe Dispenza, nutritionist and self care advocate, Don Tolman and author of New York Times Best Seller “Conversations With God,” Neale Donald Walsch.
“After Steve died I just felt so lost. I wanted to heal myself so I could move on,” Lyons says. “It wasn’t until much more recently that I was inspired by cutting edge emotional healers from around the world, curing people who had been told there was no cure.”
Lyons initially sought traditional distribution models based on his experience as a network broadcast producer, but when an interview on the Network Ten’s program “Studio 10” went viral on YouTube, he was suddenly overwhelmed with requests to buy his film.
However, fulfilling DVD shipments out of his house in Brisbane wasn’t practical nor scalable. When introduced to Spondo, Lyons embraced the company’s ability to power the VOD (Video on Demand) sale of the film directly via Lyons website http://www.E-MotionTheMovie.com and Facebook Page http://www.Facebook.com/EmotionTheMovie as well as syndication to those in the wellness space so that they can offer it to their audiences with everyone making a commission.
“E-motion is exactly the kind of project Spondo was built for,” says Spondo’s CEO and Executive Director Chris Adams. “Putting the power to sell content online and through social media directly in the hands of filmmakers, while erasing the complexities of the middle-men, aggregators and third-party vendors, paves the way to a more fair future of distribution. We are thrilled to be working with Justin and his very profound documentary.”
The film is now available globally for VOD rental at $5.99 or for “binge” watching at $14.95. (You can watch the film as many times as you like over a fourteen-day period).
