With a score of 92.907/100 Hotel Valencia Riverwalk in San Antonio and Hotel Sorella CITYCENTRE with a score of 90.721/100 in Houston placed at #2 and #5 in the Top 15 Hotels in Texas. Hotel Valencia Santana Row in San Jose was #11 among the Top 25 Hotels in Northern California with a score of 88.278/100. The newest member to the collection, Hotel Sorella Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, was awarded the #2 position in the Top 15 Hotels in the Midwest with a score of 92.186/100. Hotel Valencia Riverwalk’s impressive scores secured the property a spot on the list of “Top 25 Hotels in the United States”.
More than 128,000 travelers took part in the 28th annual Readers' Choice Awards survey—the most in its history—submitting millions of ratings and tens of thousands of comments to create a list of winning favorites. The poll questionnaire contained lists of candidates in various categories (Cities, Hotels, etc.), and a minimum number of responses was required to be eligible for a Readers' Choice Award. Individual candidates were judged on a set of criteria relevant to their category, based on a standard five-point scale: excellent, very good, good, fair, and poor.
