Versatility of Water Explained in New Children’s Book
Wootton, Australia (PRWEB) August 20, 2014 -- Inspired by her young son’s interest in literature, author Valerie Spaliviero created “The Adventures of Ruby & Roberto Raindrop” (published by Trafford Singapore) to inspire other children to love reading.
The story follows Ruby and Roberto, two raindrops on a journey around the planet, as they join oceans, rivers and transform into snow and ice crystals.
Spaliviero says the book can help children better understand the various forms of water, its constantly changing structure and its interaction with animals, humans and landscapes around the world.
An excerpt from “The Adventures of Ruby & Roberto Raindrop”:
“Ruby lay quite still, in a pile of leaves and twigs, until she felt herself joining other water droplets rushing past. The stream grew quickly, as she was carried away with it, cutting a path through the rainforest. A colony of army ants dropped the food they were carrying, rushing in all directions, to escape from being washed away. Cascading over a large cliff the stream formed into a magnificent waterfall, with sunbeams reflecting off Ruby in a colourful rainbow.”
