VehicleHistoryRecord.com is updating their used car database to include 2013 model cars, the company announced yesterday.
“Now that the 2014 models are hitting the showroom, many people have decided to start trading in or selling this year's models,” a VehicleHistoryRecord.com spokesman said. “For that reason, it was time for us to completely update our database to include 2013 model vehicles.”
VehicleHistoryRecord.com spent a week updating the database, and then beta-tested it before making the announcement, he said.
“This was a process of adding hundreds of thousands of cars to our database,” he said. “We didn't want to make an announcement until we were sure that that process had been completed without a hitch. Now we are sure our customers can get the same reliable information on 2013 cars as they can on older models.”
VehicleHistoryRecord.com says that they have heard from their customer service representatives that there is a lot of interest in used 2013 models.
“Let's face it, you can get many of the same features on the 2013 models as you can with the 2014 models, while saving thousands of dollars,” he said. “In this economy, that's very attractive to many people.”
In a few weeks, VehicleHistoryRecord.com plans to release a buying guide for 2014 models, he said.
“Our overall goal is to help people buy any type of car they want,” he said.
