New York, NY (PRWEB) June 24, 2014 -- Scott Michaeloff, the 14-year veteran and former Senior Vice President at MediaLink and Synaptic Digital, has been named CEO of Vidicom, the media services agency.
"Scott is a true pioneer in the video solutions business,” said Christy Ferer, founder and chairman of Vidicom. “As the creator of Narrative Marketing as seen on television in many forms, including the popular “In The Know” segments, Scott 's well-honed news skills and strategic thinking have created award-winning branded content campaigns.”
Michaeloff has forged direct contractual relationships with corporate clients, including Merrill Lynch, General Motors, General Mills, Allstate and Siemens. He has also built production teams around these accounts while providing ongoing production and distribution media outreach.
Michaeloff, who served 13 years at the ABC News Agency, WTN, and serviced international broadcasters, ABC affiliates and national programs with live event services, is best remembered for creating the first international entertainment news feed (now known as the APTN Entertainment Feed).
During his years at WTN, Michaeloff led coordination coverage of many high profile international news events, including “Pan Am 103,” “The Fall of the Berlin Wall,” “Oklahoma City Bombing,” and “TWA Flight 800 tragedy.” He covered many presidential elections, conventions, entertainment and sports events.
“I came to Vidicom because they have great distribution that clients cannot get elsewhere,” said Michaeloff. “From taxis to local network news platforms, along with an amazing indoor/outdoor TV studio inside the heart of Manhattan, it’s an amazing opportunity. Vidicom is a recognized award-winning leader in the PR services industry, and they have some of the most innovative and effective tools for getting corporations great media coverage. I look forward to building on this very strong organization.”
Michaeloff is staffing up for expansion
Michaeloff is helping build the Vidicom team with executives who have worked with him in years past. He named 15-year TV production executive Sean Cassels as Vice President of Production and Content. Cassels worked for Medialink and Synaptic Digital for six years, servicing most of the PR firm clients as well as working directly on corporate accounts such as General Motors, Allstate, Siemens and Cotton.
Leading the business office for Vidicom is financial services veteran Shirin Quddus, who takes on the role as the company’s Controller. Quddus has many years of experience in the financial circles of the PR services space.
