The Guardians had always been the protectors of Earth, but an unthinkable betrayal has led to their downfall – forcing them to reincarnate as humans and endure lifetimes of pain and suffering. Author Virginia Cheong explores themes revolving around humanity, understating the challenges it faces and confronting mortality in her debut novel, “In Search of the Guardians: The Dragon’s Last Breath” (published by Balboa Press AU).

“My biggest inspiration for writing this book was Harry Potter,” Cheong explains. “I was totally addicted to it, and saw how this one character touched so many people.”

Through the use of adventure and to-the-point action, “In Search of the Guardians” provides readers with a thrilling journey that grapples with the challenges that every person must endure throughout their lifetime.

“I have left many subtle messages throughout the book,” Cheong says. “I’d love for readers to take away whatever positive message that relates to them the most.”
