ARTEMIS reviewers congratulated the iFEST consortium for the promising results of the project that demonstrated that a potential reduction of up to 20% in both time-to-market and engineering life cycle costs is achievable.

Visure Solutions announced its participation at the European Embedded multi-core systems for mixed criticality applications in dynamic and changeable real-time environments project (EMC²), starting in April 2014 with a duration of 3 years.
Based on the innovative and sustainable service-oriented architecture approach for mixed criticality applications in dynamic and changeable real-time environments, EMC² is part of the European Embedded Systems industry strategy to maintain its leading edge position by providing solutions for:
- Dynamic adaptability in Open Systems
- Handling of mixed criticality applications under real-time conditions
- Scalability and total flexibility
- Full scale deployment and management of integrated tool chains, through the entire lifecycle
The EMC² project focuses on the industrialization of European research outcomes and builds on the successful results of several previous ARTEMIS and European projects, including iFEST.
The EMC² consortium is composed of 100 entities (companies, universities and research organizations) from 17 European countries and Israel. Among them, Infineon, Siemens, Thales, Fiat, ABB, Ericsson, Volvo, Philips, and a number of SME’s and research institutions.
Visure Solutions is participating in two sub-projects of EMC²:
- The first being a technology oriented project called System Design Platform, Tools, Models and Interoperability, where most of the iFEST consortium will extend the promising results already found in this previous ARTEMIS project.
- The second being a living lab where results from this sub-project will be applied in real industrial cases.
Together with Visure Solutions, key partners of iFEST including Siemens, ABB, Systonomy, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Tecnalia or The Delft University of Technology will also involved in these EMC² sub-projects.
Visure is the only organization specializing in Requirements Engineering and one of the few tool vendors participating in this project, taking a leading role in the technology sub-project and being in charge of a deliverable in the living lab. Visure Solutions, with our Visure Requirements tool, will play a significant role in validating the integration approach and the technologies to be developed in order to build the required integrated tool chains.
The iFEST project started in April 2010 and finished successfully in May 2013; ARTEMIS reviewers congratulated the iFEST consortium for the promising results of the project that demonstrated that a potential reduction of up to 20% in both time-to-market and engineering life cycle costs is achievable through the application of the iFEST integration technology platform and tool chains in the embedded systems industry.
As experts in Requirements Engineering, Visure lead the definition of the iFEST specification for integrating Requirements Management tools in iFEST tool chains. We also developed a connector to integrate Visure Requirements in the iFEST solution allowing its users to take advantage of the services provided by the iFEST tool chains. The tool and connector were successfully evaluated in 4 industrial use cases.
