'Voices of Women of the Cloth' Shares Interviews From 19 Clergywomen Representing Differing Denominations
FREDRICKSBURG, Va (PRWEB) May 29, 2017 -- Fascinated by the stories from friends who were clergy, Claire Cole Curcio researched the lives of various women in service to God and compiled their profiles in the book “Voices of Women of the Cloth” (published by Archway Publishing), which was published in December of 2016.
The women Curcio interviewed for her book live in Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Each chapter is dedicated to one woman, with the last chapter describing what she learned from each of the women. The 19 women range in age from 28 to 93 and represent Episcopal, Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist, United Church of Christ, Nazarene, Unitarian and Roman Catholic denominations; one church is a nondenominational. In addition, one woman is a wedding minister in business for herself.
“These female clergy have led interesting and varied lives,” she says. “The women in the book are priests, pastors, sisters, chaplains, teachers, business women with businesses related to the clergy, and worship ministers.”
