Abingdon Care & Rehabilitation Center’s Administrator Elected President of N.J. Chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators
NORWOOD, NJ (PRWEB) March 31, 2015 -- The New Jersey Chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) elected two administrators from Windsor Healthcare Communities, a leading provider of short- and long-term care in New Jersey, to two key leadership roles at this month’s annual election of new officers. Robert Reyes, administrator for Abingdon Care & Rehabilitation Center of Green Brook, was elected president, and Yael Herman, administrator of Canterbury Care & Rehabilitation Center at Cedar Grove, was elected secretary. The ACHCA is a national organization of nursing home administrators.
Reyes and Herman continue a long-standing tradition of Windsor Healthcare service with the ACHCA, the only professional association devoted solely to meeting the professional needs of today’s long-term care administrator and executive. Another Windsor Healthcare administrator, Helaine Ledany of Buckingham Care & Rehabilitation Center at Norwood, served as president of the New Jersey chapter for the past two years. She continues to serve on the Executive Board as immediate past president.
"The entire team at Windsor Healthcare Communities is proud that our administrators have been elected as the leaders of New Jersey’s ACHCA board," said Batsheva Katz, vice president at Windsor Healthcare Communities. "We seek talented and committed individuals who share our proactive approach to caring for our elders and guests. This person-directed approach assures we offer services tailored to each individual's needs and preferences."
“The New Jersey Chapter of the American College of Health Care Administrators offers resources, networking, training and fellowship to nursing home administrators,” said incoming President Reyes, who most recently served as the chapter’s vice president. Reyes joined Windsor Healthcare Communities as administrator of Abingdon last year. He oversees all activities at the Green Brook home, which offers the full range of nursing and rehabilitation services.
“We have re-imagined our homes to give our residents the autonomy and freedom to continue living and making their own decisions,” said new ACHCA secretary and Canterbury Administrator Herman. “Through our involvement with the ACHCA, we share our progressive approach and discuss best practices in caring for our residents."
