New Director at Little Basin Cabins and Campgrounds
Boulder Creek, CA (PRWEB) September 25, 2013 -- Heather Butler, the Director of the Web of Life Field (WOLF) School has taken on a new role as the Director of Little Basin. This new position, created specifically for Heather, is a testament to her success managing WOLF School for the past 15 years. Under Heather’s leadership, the WOLF School relocated to Little Basin in 2012 to further WOLF School's mission “Building respect, appreciation, and stewardship within the Web of Life” by providing interpretive programs to the general camping public. In 2012 the interpretive program reached over 1800 campers, and brought over 400 students, teachers, and chaperones to residential programs at Little Basin.
The Web Of Life Field (WOLF) School, founded in 1989, provides educational programs to over 2,500 students, from Northern California annually. WOLF School is the educational program of United Camps, Conferences, and Retreats (UCCR). In 2011 UCCR began managing and operating Little Basin Cabins and Campgrounds in Boulder Creek. This type of management was an innovative approach in public/private partnerships. Little Basin, once a retreat center for Hewlett Packard employees, is a 534 acre park and the newest addition to the California State Parks.
