Blossoms of Light at Denver Botanic Gardens – Denver, Colorado
One of Denver’s most popular and beautiful public venues becomes even more romantic and magical for the holidays. Mistletoe kissing spots, brand new displays and HoloSpex glasses create an experience for every visitor.

WHEN: Open nightly, Nov. 29, 2013, through Jan. 1, 2014, including Christmas eve, Dec. 25, New Year's eve, 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.

COST: Range from $5 for child members to $10 for adult non-members November 29 – December 12 and increasing by $2 per ticket December 13 – January 1. No cost for children age 2 and younger. Group rates are available for parties of 15 or more.

Trails of Light at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield – Littleton, Colorado
Out of their southern windows, eastbound travelers on C-470 will notice a spectacular display of more than one million lights. To get the full holiday experience, Swingle recommends exiting the highway, bundling up and taking a slow stroll through the winding park paths. 2013 highlights include synchronized music displays, a warming fire pit, free hayrides on select evenings and HoloSpex glasses.

Hudson Gardens and Event Center - Littleton, Colorado
“A Hudson Christmas” on south Santa Fe Boulevard features 30 acres of trails and exhibits illuminated by over 100,000 Christmas lights. Features include horse-drawn carriage rides, live caroling and musical performances, hot cocoa and Santa. Yes, the real one!

WHEN: 5:00 – 8:30 PM, a 5-week period Thanksgiving weekend through New Year’s Eve.

COST: No cost for children age 3 and younger. $6 per child ages 4-12, $7 for adult members, $9 for adult non-members.

Downtown Parker, Colorado
Parker’s holiday season “kicks off” at the Mayor’s Holiday Lighting on the day after Thanksgiving. The Colorado School of Dance and Denver Municipal Band will perform. The Mayor, Town Council and Parker Chorale will join Santa and Mrs. Claus to lead the town in a sing-a-long of Silent Night as the lead-in to the grand park lighting. Carriage and hay wagon rides and warm refreshments are available during the event and Santa will receive Christmas wishes at the PACE Center afterward.

Fort Collins calls attention to the fact that its LED Christmas lights display saves about 90 percent in power over standard lights. Shoppers will enjoy thousands of lights along Walnut Ave., Linden St., Pine St., Old Town Square, Oak Street Plaza and Mountain Ave, as well as at the Lincoln Center for the Performing and Visual Arts.
