WellCare Offers Complementary Wellness Program In Brooklyn, NY for Children, Adults and Seniors
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) August 01, 2013 -- WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG), a leading provider of managed care services for government-sponsored health care programs, will offer a free, 30-day comprehensive wellness program in Brooklyn, N.Y., for children, adults and seniors.
The program, Healthy Ways With WellCare, starts on Aug. 2, 2013, and features individual counseling with a registered nurse, weekly interactive workshops and telephone support to encourage healthy eating; weight, stress and lifestyle management; emotional well-being; diabetes control; heart disease and cancer prevention. Healthy Ways With WellCare was created in 2012 by the company, and licensed psychotherapist and certified health coach Erena DiGionis. It has previously been offered in Long Island, N.Y., and successfully helped seniors in the borough achieve weight loss and wellness goals.

Healthy Ways With WellCare will be offered each Friday in August at WellCare’s Brooklyn Welcome Room, with morning sessions for seniors and afternoon sessions for families.
