West Jefferson Recognized as Leader in Interactive Patient Care by GetWellNetwork, Inc.
Bethesda, MD (PRWEB) August 12, 2014 -- GetWellNetwork®, Inc., the leader in Interactive Patient Care™ (IPC) solutions, has announced West Jefferson Medical Center as one of the recipients of this year’s IPC Awards, which recognizes health care leaders and organizations that have demonstrated improved clinical care and outcomes through the use of IPC technology. The awards were presented on June 5 in Chicago during GetConnected 2014, GetWellNetwork’s seventh annual user conference for administrators, clinicians, and IT staff. This displays amazing growth for West Jefferson as one of the best New Orleans hospitals.
“As health care continues to move toward an environment of shared decision-making between patient and provider, the concept of patient engagement has moved from theory to practice for health care organizations,” said Michael O’Neil, founder and chief executive officer of GetWellNetwork. “We continue to be amazed at the commitment and innovation of the GetWellNetwork client community to activate patients and their families in their care journey to improve the patient experience, clinical outcomes and overall population health across the care continuum.”
For the first time ever, the GetWellNetwork client community submitted nominees, resulting in a record number of more than 70 nominations. A committee of health care leaders and executives from the client community then reviewed the submissions to select finalists and winners. As a leader among New Orleans hospitals, West Jefferson received the following IPC Awards:
