Irvine, CA (PRWEB) April 04, 2014

ByteLaunch, a web development and digital marketing agency in Irvine, California, has partnered with Wyland Foundation to build an enhanced custom website for the 3rd Annual National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation scheduled to launch April 1, 2014 through April 30, 2014.

The challenge is a community-based competition among cities in the United States that encourages Mayors and their residents to take an online pledge to conserve water and energy. The cities with the most pledges in their respective population categories win the contest, and participating individuals are entered to win 100’s of prizes, including a Toyota Prius Plug-In.

“ByteLaunch has been integral to this year’s challenge by creating an intuitive website that integrates the complex functionality we needed to make this challenge a success,” said Steve Creech, Executive Director of the Wyland Foundation. "Their approach was practical, creative, and user-friendly."

The new campaign website (http://www.MyWaterPledge.com) facilitates the challenge and features an improved user-friendly pledging process and sophisticated social media integration though a custom web application that encourages users to share with their social networks for an opportunity to win more prizes.

This year’s challenge also features a message for U.S. residents from U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Chief Administrator Gina McCarthy, and a new Kids Campaign website that offers teachers a group learning activity for students and enters them to win school supplies for their classroom and school.

ByteLaunch was among other sponsors, including Toyota USA and Toro, in attendance at the kickoff event for the Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation on April 1, 2014 at Gratts Learning Academy for Young Scholars in Los Angeles, Calif.
