The Young Marines, a national youth organization, received a $50,000 donation from GLOCK. The Young Marines will use the donation to help fund the National Leadership Academy that each year attracts more than 250 youth members of the Young Marines from across the country.

The Young Marines, a national youth organization, received a $50,000 donation from GLOCK on Saturday, September 24, at the GLOCK Annual Shoot & Gunny Challenge XII in Griffin, GA.

Presenting the check to the Young Marines was Josh Dorsey, vice president at GLOCK. The check was accepted by Bill Davis, national executive director and CEO of the Young Marines. He was joined by Gene Overstreet, 12th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, and a member of the Young Marines’ board of directors.

“Our program is focused on leadership, good citizenship and a healthy, drug free lifestyle," Davis said. "GLOCK has been a strong and long term partner in helping to achieve those goals."

The Young Marines will use the donation to help fund the National Leadership Academy that each year attracts more than 250 youth members of the Young Marines from across the country.

“The Young Marines is an organization focused on developing character in the young men and women of our nation,” said Dorsey, who spent 20 years in the United States Marine Corps. “GLOCK is excited to support the program’s mission in developing the mental, moral and physical character of today’s youth and tomorrow’s leaders.”
