Tampa, FL (PRWEB) February 17, 2014
Today at the 2014 NCTC Winter Education Conference in Tampa, Florida, ZCorum, a leading provider of managed broadband services and diagnostics software, announced that they will be demonstrating what they are calling a “game-changer for the cable industry.” The company will be demonstrating a new software product designed to help providers find and fix issues in their cable plant before they affect service.
ZCorum’s product, PreEqualization Analyzer, utilizes pre-equalization data from cable modems to identify upstream impairments, including the location and severity of the problem. This allows operators to more effectively maintain their HFC networks by knowing where and when to dispatch resources, while benefiting from the improved signal quality inherent in DOCSIS Pre-equalization.
In addition, ZCorum is demonstrating two new software-based spectrum analysis tools that display downstream and upstream spectrum data gathered from cable modem and CMTS without the need for additional and expensive equipment.
“We’re very excited to be bringing these new products to market and the NCTC WEC is the perfect place for us to showcase this game changing software. Our mission at ZCorum is to provide tools and support that enable our customers to offer better broadband service at a lower cost,” said Julie Compann, President and CEO of ZCorum. “These solutions make that happen with fewer truck rolls, reduced equipment costs and lower network maintenance costs.”
While at the show, Scott Helms, ZCorum’s Vice President of Technology, will be participating in the Broadband Technology Session on Monday, February 17, 4:15 – 5:15pm where industry professionals will share their thoughts on the technology behind commercial service tools, caching, device management, and what’s next; DOCSIS 3.1, CCAP, and FTTH enhancements.
The annual NCTC Winter Education Conference takes place this week, February 16th through the 18th.
