ZCorum, exhibiting at TelcoVision 2013 this week, will be demonstrating and answering questions about TruVizion, their diagnostics application available for DSL providers. The application, utilizing the Broadband Forum’s TR-069 standard, has been launched and implemented successfully this year with ZCorum's DSL provider affiliates. Additionally ZCorum’s new auto configuration server (ZACS), a managed platform that enables the auto-provisioning and remote management of end user devices, will also be demonstrated.

ZCorum President and CEO Julie Compann, speaking at the Expo about the ACS said, “The need to simplify end user device provisioning and maintenance has become crucial among DSL providers. TruVizion is a powerful tool for mapping and diagnostics and coupled with ZACS, is the key to the solution for DSL providers to increase customer satisfaction, reduce truck rolls and offer multiple services easily and at lower cost.”

Broadband Forum’s TR-069 standard enables DSL providers, in conjunction with an auto configuration server, to automate provisioning, and upgrade firmware remotely without having to be at a subscriber’s home. Technicians and customer service reps can take advantage of these management capabilities to aid in troubleshooting issues for subscribers.

According to Arthur Skinner, ZCorum’s Vice President of Sales, “Our DSL diagnostics product is helping providers bridge the gap that has plagued them as far as diagnostics and configuration management. Now they will be able to view real-time and historical modem stats, as well as compare readings from nearby modems and plot them on a map.”

Skinner also noted that ZCorum’s Auto Configuration Server (ZACS) lets operators reboot modems and update modem firmware remotely. "Until now, telcos haven’t had the advantages that cable providers have had with diagnostics and modem management, but with TruVizion and ZACS they finally have the tools to help them improve their operation and the reliability of their service.”

Additionally, ZCorum's Vice President of Operations, Neal Grillot will be speaking on the "Market Implications of Metered Billing and Usage Caps" in the New Revenue Streams workshop tract. The panel will be held on the last day of TelcoVision from 2:00 to 2:50 pm and a white paper on Bandwidth Management will be available for downloading by attendees.
