Through this video series, we seek to show anybody out there who might be struggling with addiction that there is always hope, that people can and do recover, and that, no matter how bad things might seem, there is always a way back from the darkness.

Anyone whose life has felt the impacts of substance abuse, either through a personal battle or through witnessing a loved one struggle with addiction, can find some hope in the latest of a series of patient testimonial videos that A Forever Recovery has released on their YouTube channel. These videos are mostly filmed during interviews with some of the patients at A Forever Recovery who are close to graduating from the treatment program, and can offer honest accounts of the changes that they have made during their time at the rehabilitation center, and the positivity they now feel about their recovery from addiction.

“The purpose behind our patient testimonial video series is quite simple, really,” commented A Forever Recovery founder Per Wickstrom. “Through this video series, we seek to show anybody out there who might be struggling with addiction that there is always hope, that people can and do recover, and that, no matter how bad things might seem, there is always a way back from the darkness. With an effective treatment program at a professional substance abuse treatment center, that they, too, can enjoy a substance-free lifestyle. Even if they decide on a different recovery center than AFR, we hope that these videos will shine a little light into the shadows, and possibly even save a few lives in the process.”

These patient testimonial videos highlight some of the various unique qualities of the AFR approach to rehabilitation from substance abuse, including the various options available to the patients as well as their overall experience at the recovery facility. The patients that were interviewed, Blake, Gerald, Wesley, Jeremy, and Ryan, all found different parts of their time at AFR to be beneficial to their recovery. However, the end result for each of them remains the same: finding their path to a happier, healthier and more positive lifestyle, free from addiction to drugs and alcohol.

The A Forever Recovery Drug Rehab Program

AFR is a holistic treatment center for drug abuse and alcoholism that is located on beautiful St. Mary’s Lake in Southwest, MI, that takes a unique and personalized approach to recovery from addiction. Concentrating on healing the individual as a whole by focusing equally on the three main aspects of the self, Body, Mind, and Spirit, the treatment program at A Forever Recovery seeks to uncover and address the underlying causes of the patient’s compulsive behaviors, instead of simply addressing the symptoms. Rather than insisting that every patient go through the exact same “cookie cutter” type of treatment, they offer several options for their patients to choose from that supplement the effective core program. This allows each individual to discover the path that will best suit their needs, helping to create a sense of confidence and personal responsibility in the rehabilitation program, which, in turn, leads to a higher rate of successful long-term recovery from addiction.
