“Above the Fray: The Awareness Project” (published by Balboa Press) addresses the concept that life is a series of experiences that assure the evolution of people’s consciousness based entirely on their awareness of the source of their being.
“The inspiration for the book was to share the knowledge I had gained by my life experience,” says author Owen Thomas Ashton, MD. “Based on that experience, I began to question everything. Was life meant to be series of challenges interspersed with conflict and chaos, or was there some purpose to it all? Is life on planet earth a test, or a project? Is there some source of ‘secret knowledge’ that could make me feel better? If so, how to I discover this knowledge and what do I teach my children?”
Based on what he learned, Ashton wrote “Above the Fray,” through which he states that knowing one’s source helps people know themselves and understanding that knowing their true nature is the only path to peace and joy.
“All the chaos and conflict that we experience or have experienced or ever will experience is rendered as utterly irrelevant by the awareness of our true nature,” Ashton says.
