Access Strategy Partners Inc Helps Improve Access to New Medical Technologies for Healthcare Providers
ASPI aligns medical device manufacturers with providers and supply chain organizations to simplify the acquisition of leading-edge technology
BRAINTREE, Mass., Dec. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Access Strategy Partners Inc (ASPI) today announces the launch of its new platform that aligns medical device companies with healthcare providers and supply chain organizations to simplify the acquisition of leading-edge technologies. This new global enterprise will prepare small and mid-size device companies for successful commercial engagement with IDNs and GPOs in the U.S., and a qualified distribution network supports client sales efforts worldwide.
The challenge for providers is knowing which device manufacturers have useful, value-based technology that meets their needs. For small and mid-size device manufacturers, it's hard to know where the best opportunities are in a complex, consolidating healthcare marketplace, and difficult to get an audience with a large institution. "Providers are in the business of providing care, and don't have time to evaluate every new device on the market," said Jim Walker, co-founder and President of ASPI. "It's more efficient to let us bring them a portfolio of qualified, relevant suppliers who offer what providers need, when and how it's needed."
The company's founding partners - Walker, Armin Cline, John Strong and Bob Phelps - come from careers with large device manufacturers and supply chain contracting organizations. They are launching ASPI with a staff of 15 with extensive experience and expertise in the industry, including executives from leading device companies worldwide and large U.S. provider and supply chain organizations. Notable areas of proficiency include Commercialization, Supply Chain, Health Economics & Reimbursement, Contract Operations, Physician Advisory and Marketing.
The ASPI platform is built on the three pillars of Key Account Management, Customer Engagement, and Consulting Services. Key Account Management, led by Walker, readies device manufacturers for successful commercial engagement. Cline, ASPI's Chief Commercialization Officer, heads the Customer Engagement team that evaluates and presents best-in-class medical device product opportunities that meet the needs and pressing challenges of providers and supply chain organization. Industry veterans Dan Sweeney and Randy Williams divide responsibility for the Commercialization team in the field. Consulting Services is led by Strong, with Dennis Orthman, Carol Stone, Mary Ann Clark and Joanna Koufos in leadership roles.
"Our practice will go beyond traditional consulting," said Strong, ASPI Chief Consulting Officer. "We will combine analytical rigor with navigating the provider and supply chain landscape and an understanding of how to make things happen to accelerate growth for our clients."
