Acclaimed Pianist, Academician Presents Compassionate, Faith-Based Resource for Those in Need of Spiritual Security
DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (PRWEB) February 18, 2019 -- Distinguished pianist, conductor and academician Jon H. Robertson has released his comforting and gentle resource, “The Spirit Within,” which presents readers with the secrets to peace, a spirit-filled life and God’s saving power.
Focused on providing others with the good news of salvation regardless of their denominational affiliations, Dr. Robertson’s book was inspired by a series of sermons given to the Facts of Faith Fellowship in California, which he pastored for 14 years, and speaks to humanity’s deep desire for spiritual security.
“The Spirit Within” is an answer to the anxiety and doubt many people experience about their existence and purpose, whether they are believers or not. It comes at a highly relevant time in which millions of dollars and countless hours are spent by people in search of spiritual peace and security, whether they look for it in self-help seminars or church services.
“As the son of a brilliant and powerful fundamentalist preacher, I grew up in a home devoted to the reading and study of the Bible. Wanting to be a student of the Word, like my father, I found great delight in studying the Scriptures on my own,” Dr. Robertson said. “Over the years, this keen interest for the Word inevitably led me to ask questions, at times difficult questions. I would eventually come to discover, however, that serious questioning and fundamentalism were not always compatible.”
“The pacing of each chapter is quick and efficient, while gently and constructively setting the record straight about a number of common misunderstandings of the Christian faith,” a reviewer for the Pacific Book Review wrote about “The Spirit Within”. “Included in these are the facts that His salvation was intended for people living in all corners of the world, why Christians need to trade their ‘crippling guilt’ for a truly joyful life, and the importance of attaining the peace that comes with self-control.”
Ultimately, Dr. Robertson’s book reflects on the Holy Spirit’s life-changing and redemptive work, God’s unconditional love for humanity, The Spirit that dwells within all people and God’s ability to reach all of humanity with the gift of salvation.
