Adams County, Wisconsin – suffered a data breach that lasted for 6 years – Now what?
ADAMS COUNTY, Wisc. (PRWEB) August 21, 2018 -- On Monday, August 10, 2018, it was released that Adams County in Wisconsin had a data breach that lasted almost six years. Adams County, Wisconsin announced that they have discovered a data breach of potentially all of their 250,000 + residents.
Adams County released the following statement:
“If you had given the county any of your personal identifying information (PII), personal health information (PHI), or tax intercept information (TII) to any of the departments in the county, including veterans service office, extension office, county employees, health and human services, child support, and the sheriff’s office, you were more than likely included in the data breach.”
