Addiction counselor and former addict offers tools and hope to people struggling with substance abuse in new book
Eric McCoy C.A.T.C II, announces publication of 'Pain, Failure, and Misery are the Stepping Stones to Success'
POMONA, Calif., Oct. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Eric McCoy, CATC II, shares what drove him to use drugs, the misery it caused, and how he finally escaped the darkness to achieve success in his new combination autobiography and self-help book, "Pain, Failure, and Misery are the Stepping Stones to Success: Recovery Ecosystem Presents" (published by Archway Publishing).
The first three chapters describe the author's experience with methamphetamine dependence. Having both first-hand experience and being certified as an addiction counselor, McCoy explores a "thinking outside the box" approach to healing. The book is designed to empower the reader as he offers tools to improve self-esteem, self-sufficiency and thinking for oneself, removing irrational thoughts and adjusting to the real world, and a healing approach that doesn't tell people what to do. Through the different topics of self-love, goals, dreams and passions, the book is about helping people so they can see healing.
"I want people to take away hope which can only be gained by a belief that anything is possible. No matter where you have been or what you have done, you can do anything you want if you are willing to fight for it," McCoy says. "My story, as well as, many others out there have proved this."
