Experienced attorney Julie Wieczorek Fritsch has joined Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano, where she will work as an associate out the firm's Pittsburgh office.

Experienced attorney Julie Wieczorek Fritsch has joined Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano, where she will work as an associate out the firm's Pittsburgh office. Certified as a Workers’ Compensation Law Specialist by the Pennsylvania Bar Association, she has represented injured workers for more than 15 years.

Ms. Fritsch will help Pond Lehocky further expand services to clients in Western Pennsylvania. She joins partner Stephen Miller and associates Matthew Allen and Daniel Pierson in the firm's Pittsburgh office, which opened in 2016.

With the addition of Ms. Fritsch, Pond Lehocky—which already had the most certified workers' compensation specialists in the state—adds another certified specialist to the fold. Also, with her hiring, 43 percent of the firm's lawyers are women. Pond Lehocky has prioritized diversity to make the legal profession more inclusive.

Prior to joining Pond Lehocky, Ms. Fritsch was a partner at a Pittsburgh law firm where she represented claimants and plaintiffs in workers’ compensation, personal injury and veterans' and Social Security disability and disability matters. She has represented clients in state and federal courts at the administrative, trial and appellate levels. Prior to practice, she completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Jolene Grubb Kopriva of Blair County, Pennsylvania.

Ms. Fritsch and received her J.D. from University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She also graduated with a B.A. in political science from Pennsylvania State University - Behrend College.

She is also accredited by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to represent veterans with claims for disability benefits before the VA. Ms. Fritsch was named a Rising Star by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers in 2010 and 2013 through 2016.

Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano opened its doors in July 2010 with six attorneys and only 22 total staff members. Today, it is the largest workers’ compensation and Social Security disability law firm in the region, boasting more than 40 attorneys and 240 staff members. The firm has also recently expanded into new practice areas for workers, including employment law and long-term disability, and has a national referral network, which has helped 86,000 clients with referrals.

It won numerous accolades, including being named to U.S. News & World Report’s Best Law Firms in America list every year since 2011, the National Trial Advocates Top 100 Lawyers list numerous times, the Philadelphia Business Journal's Best Places to Work list six times and Philadelphia Inquirer's Top Workplaces list five times.
