ProCEP Offering No-Cost Consultations for Neurofeedback
Schertz, TX (PRWEB) October 21, 2013 -- With the school year and work life in full swing, the Professional Center for Enhanced Performance is offering consultations for neurofeedback at no charge.
Neurofeedback treatment is a type of biofeedback that measures brain waves or brain blood flow to produce a signal that can be used as feedback on brain activity to teach self-regulation. By training brain function directly, the goal is to “teach” the brain to function more efficiently. It can be used as ADHD treatment, depression treatment, anxiety disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, and treatment for autistic children.
During the initial assessment, Cheryl Camarillo, LCSW will ask in-depth questions about learning, physical, and emotional functions. An EEG QIK test in then given to measure for speed, accuracy, and consistency. It also helps to identify any thought processing concerns. Symptom consult and tracking will let Cheryl know exactly what area of concern a person would like addressed. Once the assessment is completed, she will then offer advice and information.

About the company:
At the Professional Center for Enhanced Performance, the goal is to unlock the brain's full potential. The brain acts as a processor for information. It regulates body temperature, breathing, physical movement, sensory, functions, as well as emotions, dreams, and reasoning. Truly one of the most amazing, self-regulating organs, the brain and nervous system as a whole control all facets of life and greatly impact day-to-day activities. However, if the brain is not performing at a stable state, mental performance, psychological stability, and emotional control can be altered, affecting not only the individual, but those around them as well.
