Harley, Cywes and Linder Present New Study of Disas
Tokai, South Africa (PRWEB) August 07, 2013 -- In their new e-book “A Disa Companion: The Art and Science of Disa Cultivation” (published by AuthorHouse), authors Eric Harley, Sid Cywes and Peter Linder present readers with a treatise on the rare flower known as the disa.
This detailed description of the intriguing, and often spectacular flowers of an orchid genus introduces interested audiences to a plant which is not well known outside of southern Africa. Aspects of the botany, genetics and cultivation of these orchids are covered, with numerous illustrations to show the variety of both natural and cultivated forms.
The authors are very excited about the electronic presentation of their work. “Most books on orchids are printed and therefore expensive,” they say. “There are few dealing with this spectacular genus of orchid. The e-format also shows the colors to spectacular advantage.”
